As a child, I would have loved to take dance classes - but didn't. As a teen, I loved the stage and performing for a crowd. DanceIT allows me to unleash my hidden dancer................Instructing gives me the stage. I have such a passion for DanceIT!. I talk it up whenever I get the chance. DanceIT allows me to express myself and just have fun! Right from the first DanceIT class I attended as a participant 8 years ago, I felt the fulfillment and the balance come into my life. After 3 or 4 sessions, I knew this was something worth shouting from the rooftops about.
As a DanceIt instructor, I have found the perfect gift to give other women - "THEMSELVES"! Becoming a DanceIT Instructor put my fitness regime at the TOP of my Cheryl Martin I love the DanceIT program more than any other group fitness that I have taught and I've been teaching for 24 years. I love having a program laid out so I don't have to search for new music and new moves, it's done for me.
My students lift my spirits as much as the program and I lift theirs. They keep coming back because the program is consistently excellent. I would continue teaching until I'm 100 if my back would hold out.!! As someone who danced all my life, DanceIT lets me stay connected with a discipline that I love while getting all the benefits of a well designed fitness program. Our class is more than a place where women come to meet and dance twice a week. It's friends, neighbours, colleagues, young mothers, grandmothers, focusing on ourselves and our companionship. Most of the ladies arrive well before the beginning of class as they look forward to not only exercising, but the socializing that occurs before, during and after. Catharine Marchand DanceIT has been part of my life since 1978. As a participant in the early years, DanceIT was my stress release in the hustle and bustle of a busy family. As an instuctor since 1987, when I turn on the music, I am overwhelmed with the stages of movement that rejuvenate the body and with the inspirational songs and upbeat tempos.
